I need to post new work... I've been quite busy. After I graduated in mid-December of last year, I acquired a motion graphics animation job working at the Office Depot headquarters. So I am doing very well, and I hope you all are too.

Some goodness produced from a class assignment last quarter. Each student had to pick a different country/region and decade in time then do research on the attire back then. I picked France in the 1880's i.e. Moulin Rouge. Then you had to come up with ten different characters, 5 male and 5 female; at least 2 of them had to be children. You also had to showcase a 'swatch' of fabric. The characters above I believe were my best out of the ten (the other two chars were kinda lame, haha).

@David I'm not going to post smaller images because my last computer crapped out on me and I lost all the artwork I had. If this one dies on me, I'll at least be able to download all of my original images here. = )

Twigg and Friends

These are characters from an idea I have that will hopefully turn into something in the future. I have little comics in mind about them but I think I might try to make an animation of some sort.

See basically Twigg is a 'nightmare'. He lives with his brothers inside an old tree somewhere in the local towns pet cemetery. At night they go out and seep into sleeping childrens dreams, turning them into nightmares. Although Twigg enjoys very much what he does, there is a particular dream which he visits. The girl you see above dreams about her stuffed toy sheep, and her name is Berri. Berri sings and dances with pastel colors floating around her, and Twigg loves to watch the dream. But when Berri sees Twigg, the dream quickly turns into a nightmare. Twigg longs to be able to dance and play with Berri but he is a nightmare and she is a dream...

Well thats the main storyline so far! I have other side stories in mind like when Twigg finds a frog and when he finds some little girls picking on a kitten. I'm not sure how to end the story... I thought about the girl giving Twigg the stuffed toy so that Twigg can go home and see her in his own dreams and I've also thought about Twigg becoming a dream himself, but that sounds cheesy. Oh well, one day I'll do something with this!

I'm currently working on an animation for a client... actually, several animations! These are a few stills from the first one. I've been a busy busy beaver (though lately I've been slacking due to playing Little Big Planet and Spore like crazy, heh). Sorry I haven't had time to update! Also, I usually don't watermark, but I can't let these characters get out anywhere just yet.

Depression

THIS is my depression monster. I drew him when I was sad. I want to punch him, and he is okay with that. = )

This is me depressed. I don't eat or sleep properly when I'm depressed, so my stomach is very upset with me in this picture. Oh look, it's my depression monster!

I'm doing okay now, working on art always makes me happy. But oh BOY do break-ups suck.

The other day I finished my Pirate Cats! animatic, woohoo! I just need to add some more sound effects and show it to my teacher to see if he thinks I should tweak anything before I put it up on youTube, and then you guys can see it!

I also went out with Lynette to the mall and bookstore. I bought a really cute skirt and a little robot wind up toy. I couldn't resist either of them!

Since as of recent I've been feeling pretty down, I'm going to start a little self-therapy and draw the good things that happened during my day. It also serves as good drawing practice! I think you guys should do it too!

Bugs, Pokemon + MMoF

Here's some colorful fan art that I did. At the top, Bugs Bunny! Then the original starters of the Pokemon video game. Lastly, the two main characters from the cartoon series The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, one of my favorite cartoon shows. All sketched and scanned in, then fancied up in Photoshop. Enjoy!

Erby The Pirate

This is a character of mine, Erby. This version is from a role play I created when I still hung around Gaia Online. It was a really cool story I put together called Skies of Kloud, about pirates flying airships and a race of people who lived in the clouds. I don't think it would have been as awesome as it was without the people who played along with me. I might do portraits of the other characters later on. = )

The first version of Erby originated in high school, when my friends and I decided to make a pirate themed story with the characters all based upon ourselves. Hence the characters name being 'Erby'. This story was very different from the roleplay, and didn't involve air pirates. But did have lots of zombies, vampires, theivery, plenty of ocean and treasure!

Here's my character Pickles, who'll be appearing in my Demo Reel 'Pirate Cats'. A Demo Reel is an animated short that's required by my school in order to graduate. I'm doing a Looney Tunes-esque type cartoon. If I'm able to upload videos here, I'll be able to show you my animatic as well as the finished product (though that may take a bit longer. I'm working on the animatic now and it should be done this week).
